Strengths:    great grip.... rolls just as good as semi slick tires... tough.... inexpensive

Weaknesses:    none so far.. people mention the weight but its not an issue with me

    Bottom Line:
Friends and i bike in forest paths idealy meant for cross country skiing... so when the snow melts we are left with some pretty rugged terrain. rocks, roots, mud, gravel, fallen trees and the occasional deer or elk jumping out in front of you... One trail can be as dry and dusty as it gets and the next second you hit some muddy corners or swampy grassy sections....thats what these tires are perfect for.... its is the best all-around off road tire that gives you grip when you need it without compromising on the speed. I am thinking of going back and buying some more to have on reserve in case nokian stops making them... i will recommend these to anyone who hits similar terrain.....

Strengths:    Been using the Nokian X-Trak for almost a year now. At 65 psi, I found it tough, and durable. Been using it on rough terrain but haven't broken a knob. Haven't had a flat either. Must be the Slime in my inner tube. Good traction on wet and loose soil, and gravel. Its relatively quite even on fast tracks.

Weaknesses:    Haven't found any weakness as of this date.

    Bottom Line:
I always had a flat with the Tioga. The Secialized Pro is too heavy and noisy as if a train is on your tail always. You want a light tire? Get the 1.75 X-Trak. Gives you traction of a 2.3 but gentle on your quads. For weekend warriors and serious bikers alike. NOKIAN IS BEST!!!

Strengths:    Classic tread design that works very well in all conditions. Excellent traction without too much rolling resistance.

Weaknesses:    heavy tire, but this adds to it's durability

    Bottom Line:
Bought this tire on a whim to see how it would perform since I have never ridden anything by Nokian before. I also bought the NBX 2.1 tire along with this one. The X-Trak has become one of my favorite tires. The rolling resistance is equivalent to any typical 2.1 tire, but the grip in all conditions is amazing - from dry hard pack to wet mud/rocks/roots. This tire has excelled in every riding condition I've experienced. The Nokian X-Trak outperforms my Panaracer Fire XC Pro's (one of my favorites) for durability, traction, control, and overall quality. The X-Trak is a heavy tire, but who cares about that unless you are racing. 6 Months of regular riding with no flats, no torn knobs, no sidewall abrasions, etc. I would buy this tire again without hesitation.

    Bottom Line:
I just got the Nokian X trak to replace my torn rear, and it seems to be a nice tire. It's similar to, but not the same thing pictured here. It's now good for front and back, according to sidewall. The bottom line is I've only taken it on the trails once, and it seemed to do it's job.

Strengths:    the best grip for good price!

Weaknesses:    the DH is kinda heavy at 1kg, but who cares anyway...

    Bottom Line:
I have the X-trak F DH and for the price it is the best front tyre out there!!! Nothing grips on wet rocks and roots like a Nokian! Next I'll be going for Gazzaloddi Dual, just to see if it's even better!

Strengths:    Good grip in many conditions, reasonable weight for the price & size, puncture resistance, quite fast and rolling well on pavements, price

Weaknesses:    could accelerate faster /but considering weight to price relation not so bad/

    Bottom Line:
In two words- good tires. For this price u can hardly find anything better. They are really thick as for 2.1's. Good grip in mud, dirt, loose stones & rocks, could be better on pavements while leaning the bike/front tire/. If you race u'd maybe look for something lighter /each of X- Traks weights 670 g/, but I'm not sure you will get that puncture resistance and durabiity then.
On these tires I felt really certain & safe in difficult terrain. Durability- after about 3500 km /half of this on pavements/- front- in great condition, rear- central knobs are 1.5 mm high /were about 4/.

    Strengths:
    good grip, quite light,
    fast rolling, low price

    Weaknesses:
could be lighter but for the price...

    Bottom Line:
Great set of tires for all-round riding.
I've tested one of the front, and there's a great variety of diffrent sizes and threads.
Could be 5 stars but it's a bit too all-terrain
and that makes it a predictable tire - but not always so grippy.
