Strengths:    Great traction, cornering and braking. Fast rolling. Tough side walls. Fairly light.

Weaknesses:    None.

Bottom Line:
This is for the 2011 version. The 2010 is good too, but the cornering isn't as good.

Great tire. Wears well, great traction. I've ridden geax saguaro and AKAs for the last 2 years and these are much better. I still have the geax tires on my other bike and they feel far less confident in the corners. Most versatile XC tire I've used.

Strengths:    Instant Quality perception at first sight

Weaknesses:    None so far, I will come back with more feed backs

Bottom Line:
After annoying experience with Hutchinson, I decided to go for Michelin. I must admit I was not very convinced, something I was sure of, I did not want Chinese. these ones are made in thailand, but trust me they look great right from the beginning. the rubber quality, the size, boy I have bought a 26X2.1 for Dry XC and I have got the right size, incredible, could you imagine asking for a glass of water and you get a cup of tea?? well this happened in others. the tread design is great, making it much more all-round hardback. I will come back with the test results from next weakend experience.

Michelin Wild Rac'r 2.25. Ho Lee crap. May have found a high volume XC race tire!

This came into the shop today mounted on a EC90 rim at an extremely high pressure. I have been looking for a high volume XC race tire for a while for rigid riding. I have found the RaRa(delicate), Nobby Nic(heavy and slow), and race king(doesnt corner well) (and never used the Ikon 2.35{probably ... Read More »

Michelin Wild Race'r... anyone riding them?

MBAction had a review not too long ago in which they rated the Michelin Wild Race'r as having decent grip and low rolling resistance (and they are light if you get the ultimate version). I have been thinking about trying them out on a 4" XC bike (26"). I mainly ride San Tan mountain and DC at South ... Read More »

Michelin Wild Race'r Ultimates

Just a quick review Spec's: 1@455g and 1@467g (lightest mtb tires I've ever had or seen) Claimed width of 2.0 inches, actual width of 1.95 inches. I reached this measurement after a week or so with the tires installed on 24mm wide carbon rims and set up tubeless with Stans. They initially meas ... Read More »

michelin wild race'r 29

Was in search of something a bit different for Racing this year and ran across these Michelin wild race'r 29. Seem to be very little as far as reviews out there but what is available seems to be good. They mounted up very easily on my BWW 29 rims with Stan’s Rim strips. Matter of fact I mounted them ... michelin wild race'r 29

Looking to see who is running this new Michelin wild Race'r tire and your thoughts. Also wondering how true to size the they run. Looking at a set for this summers XC racing. I see they come in 2.1 and 2.25 and I was leaning towards the 2.25 for extra volume on my hard tail. Had a set of Specialized ... Read More »
