Date Reviewed: March 12, 2007
Favorite Trail:anywere
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:ebay
Strengths:lots of grip, lasts long, fast rolling
Weaknesses:a little on the heavy side but who cares its a dh tire and thats a penalty youll have to pay for durability and grip like this
Bike Setup:rocky mountain flow 1.0
Bottom Line:these things are awsome , they grip in everything the lower the pressure the better the grip, i think about the best pressure for me was about 20-28 psi. they wont let you down and they last pretty well even on long trips riding on the road. i deffinately recommend them to anyone

Submitted by Chris a Downhiller from Phoenix, AZ
Date Reviewed: April 2, 2006
Favorite Trail:National
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $35.00
Purchased At:Cactus Bikes
Strengths:The tire corners well and rolls fast - the two main things you want your tire to do.
Weaknesses:The tread isn't very agressive, but since the knobs are more modest they don't get sheared off in rocky terrain. It's made in Taiwan. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the orange stripe, but that's all personal preference.
Similar Products Used:Nokian Gazza Jr. and the stock Specialized tires.
Bike Setup:Specialized BigHit with a Nokian Gazza Jr. up front and a Maxxis High Roller out back.
Bottom Line:It's a solid tire that hooks up well and lasts long. It's great for riding on rocky or hardpacked trails but I can't speak of it's mud performance since I live in freaking Phoenix.

Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $50.00
Purchased At:BowCycle
Strengths:looks awsome with the orange stripe, corners awsome, rolls amazingly, price
Weaknesses:gets worn down quite abit
Similar Products Used:Specialized Roller 24x2.5, Nokian Gazzalodi
Bike Setup:'03 kona stinky, maxxis tires (mobster 26x2.7 front, highroller 24x2.5 rear) Super T, mrp, fox dhx 5.0, trail pimps
Bottom Line:Overall this is a great tire. just wears down easily. I think any downhiller/ freerider should get these. maybe a bit to heavy for xc though.

Price Paid: $15.00
Purchased At:JENSONUSA
Strengths:PRICE
Weaknesses:SIZE
Similar Products Used:SPECIALIZED ROLLER 24x2.5
Bike Setup:SPECIALIZED BIGHIT
Bottom Line:I ORDER THE TIRE FOR A BACK UP BEFORE I NEEDED IT, THE SIZE
IS 24x2.7 BUT YOU WILL FIND IT DIFFICULT TO GET 2.7 FROM IT. MORE LIKE A 2.4

Submitted by Jamie a Downhiller from Whistler, B.C., Canada
Date Reviewed: June 8, 2004
Favorite Trail:Dirt Merchant
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $60.00
Purchased At:Evolution
Strengths:holds well in corners, pretty durable, good traction on slick rocks
Weaknesses:side knobs are getting worn a little and small peices of rubber are coming off, but i have a 50 durometer tire, so it's softer, quite normal wear for a tire being ridden laps in the park.
Similar Products Used:arrow racing prime bite 24" tire, specialized big hit tire(stock)
Bike Setup:Specialized big hit dh, boxxer
Bottom Line:it's a great tire, i like it a lot more than the arrow racing tire because it holds really well compairably in the berms. it gives me more confidence because the side knobs hold really well on off camber ground. the mud sheds off of it when it's wet, a lot better than the arrow.
