Date Reviewed: October 11, 2005
Favorite Trail:Forbidden Pleasures
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $50.00
Purchased At:Norda's
Strengths:Great traction on loose and hard dirt. It hasn't rained enough to test them in the mud. SUPER SIDEWALLS. 4-PLY SIDEWALL = 10PSI and no pinch flats!
Weaknesses:None that I have found yet except maybe that they are very heavy but 4-ply sidewalls are going to be. You have to expect that.
Similar Products Used:Maxxis Minion & High Roller, Tioga White Tiger, Other INTENSE'S.
Bike Setup:Rocky Mountain Switch S3, E13 DRS, Sram, Marz. 66, yada yada yada. Super Sick Bike!
Bottom Line:If you want the most indestructible tire I am yet to find buy these. Yes they are heavy but super thick sidewalls never get pinch flats. Good Rolling tire and performs terrific in a myriad of conditions.

Date Reviewed: December 21, 2004
Favorite Trail:Anywhere in the NW
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:Indestructable casing, excellent dry traction.
Weaknesses:They wear out really fast, and the side lugs liketo rip off.
Similar Products Used:Maxxis Minions, Arrow Racing, Other Intense tires.
Bike Setup:V10 w 888r
Bottom Line:These tires were okay for going down really steep rocky terrain, other than that they suck your pedal power even when you ar going downhill. The thing that I disliked the most was that the lugs tear off the sidewall too easily.

Favorite Trail:Garbonza - No Joke, Original Sin
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Evolution
Strengths:Aggressive knobs, stiff side walls, comes in 24", incredibly smooth ride
Weaknesses:Less than 1 month of riding and it's already worn out. When they say soft compound, they mean it.
Similar Products Used:Maxxis
Bike Setup:Specialized Big Hit, Boxxers, Intense Mag 30's and 909 2.7 front and 909 2.5 rear
Bottom Line:Best tires i'ved ever used but way to soft for normal person use. Great for racing though. Im already looking for new tires after 1 month of use.

Submitted by Nate D a Downhiller from NH
Date Reviewed: August 18, 2003
Favorite Trail:one that goes DOWNHILL
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $60.00
Purchased At:Online
Strengths:Good traction, thick casing.
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:You name them.
Bike Setup:V10, White Brothers 2.0, Hussefelt crank, E Thirteen guide, Modo wheels, Intense 909 FRO's.
Bottom Line:One year, no flats. If that doesn't say something then what does? Match these tires with Sun-Ringle Doublewides and Nokian DH tubes and watch all your friends change flats. Maybe they will get the hint after a while. PS I ride as hard as the next downhiller, so the 909's have been put to the test.

Favorite Trail:Pourcupine rim
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:The deep treads, agressive treads
Weaknesses:none yet
Bike Setup:Santa Cruz V-10 with boxxer team, intense 909, floating rear caliper, and MRP cahinguide
Bottom Line:These tires are only for those people who ride hard, and stick to trails where treads matter
Value Rating:5Overall Rating:5
