Duration Product Used:
2 Years
Purchased At:
Gord's
Strengths:
Very strong tire, almost indestructible and impossible to pinch flat Excellent grip on all surfaces except for mud so far.
Weaknesses:
The downside to the indestructibility is that the 4ply sidewall makes these tires very heavy.
Similar Products Used:
Maxis Minion, Kenda Nevegal and Bluegroove
Bike Setup:
Ellsworth Moment
Bottom Line:
Great tire if you need loads of grip and don't want to have to worry about pinch flats and don't mind the extra weight. Perfect tire for dowhnhill and freeride

Strengths:
great traction, low rolling resistance
Weaknesses:
weak sidewalls
Bottom Line:
wicked traction, esp on wet roots, etc (i ride north shore), but the sidewalls are too weak and wear out nearly as fast as the rubber (you can't get such great traction though without the soft rubber). anyway, pinch flats are a problem because of this. they roll real fast which is nice. very solid. a good free ride tire, but not the best.

This tire works well in all conditions but don't buy the sticky rubber unless you wan'tto replace them every week.

Strengths:
Considering how fat this is, it rolls really well on both urban and dirt. The large spread out knobs make it easy to clean as well.
Weaknesses:
none
Similar Products Used:
none are so grippy in all weather.
Bottom Line:
I got my tires a lot cheaper, about £15 cheaper. They are worth every pennie it costs, and if your tires are going everywhere, these will stop that. They do ware out abit, but ive been riding intense rubber for 3 months, and about 1 mm of rubber has come of. They are worth it for the nice fat sidewalls alone.

Strengths:
Useable on hardpack and gravel..
Weaknesses:
The rubber sux, I used the tyre for 8-10 days of riding and they shut down, front and back!!! (And I'm not the most hardcore rider out there!) The knobs simply fall of after some use. Then the cord and tube comes out... KABOOOOOM!!! And in wet condition they are pretty useless, side knobs are too small, and give a bad grip!
My friend got the 2.5/2.7 DH vesion and they have the same problems. A bit stronger though, but...
Similar Products Used:

Bike Setup:

Bottom Line:
I would not recomed these tyres to anybody!!! They wear fast and gets thorn up easily!

These tires rock, I run them at 20psi and the traction is unbelivable, maybe not to hot in the mud, (Intense muds for that)but one of the best tires I have ever used.
Buy them.

60 Durometer....2.35" front & rear works real good.Grips well & predictable ..No empty void on tread-just full knobbies !....60 durometer feels real cushy & i'm using apx 33 psi f/r....Great tire for Freeride & DH racing..Don't use em on pavement, you'll wear them out quick......Havn't tried em in the wet,but i think they will rock...& also the dude i got them from impaled himself with these tires-& demolished the rim ,but didn't flat the tire & very minor sidewall damage...Nice tuff tire !I'll buy another set when these wear out....G-day
