Strengths:    Lightweight, fast rolling.

Weaknesses:    Not true to size.

Bottom Line:
I bought these tires in the 26 x 2.25 size to replace my 26 x 2.4 Continental Mountain King II's which were overkill for my style of riding. Once installed the tires appeared to be very narrow. The casing width is 2.1" and the tread width is 1.98" (measured with digital caliper). These tires are not close to the stated width. I have owned numerous other tires from various manufactures that were very close to exact in size. I will be mounting these tires on my wife's bike that has narrower tires.

Strengths:    Speed, stability, light weight, evenness in turns, looks, ease of mounting

Weaknesses:    The tire is probably not your best bet for AM. This is not a weakness. Just giving a heads-up. It is XC.

Bottom Line:
It may be the perfect XC tire. I ride on the street, some dirt roads and an occasional path. These tires are just total sweetness. I'm sure that they are just as good for MTB riders and racers who want to go fast on relatively hard, relatively even ground. Only had them a couple of months, so no word on their longevity. The low knobs. light weight, hard rubber and dense tread pattern give this tire a wicked edge when the conditions are right.

Strengths:    Low rolling resistance, good hardpack tire

Weaknesses:    Low durability over rock. Rubber tread is too hard and rocks rips tread right down to inner core, and sealant pours out (cannot be repaired and tube is needed).

Bottom Line:
This would be a great tire on hardpack terrain that isn't rocky (dirt or jeep roads, Pacific NW trails, etc). Central Texas has a lot of rock outcrops which ended up being too much for this tire after only 2 months. This would be a better tire if the rubber was softer and flex over rocks. They tried to make the tire more durable by hardening the rubber, and it had the opposite effect. Prior to the Cobra, I used the Python Tubeless Ready, which was surpringly durable for a race tire.

Strengths:    Very fast tires that grip the dry, compact dirt quite well. I was speeding up the mountain while my riding buddy kept slipping and sliding all over. Lightweight. Excellent front wheel tire.

Weaknesses:    Don't know how long the "stickiness" will last.

Bottom Line:
Pretty much the perfect tire for dry, hard conditions. Awesome grip and speed!
