Date Reviewed: October 15, 2008
Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At:was on bike
Strengths:wears not too fast, had no defect with them
Weaknesses:high weight, not enough grip
Similar Products Used:Schwalbe BigBetty, Maxxis Minion, Michelin All Mountain
Bike Setup:Giant Reign, Manitou Minute, Avid Juicy 7, Hutch.Bulldog 2.3 f+r
Bottom Line:Very high weight, but rolling resistance is OK. No real weakness but no real strenght too. Problems in fast corners on loose ground. Good traction on muddy ground.
I'd not buy it, imho the Maxxis is much better and lighter.

Submitted by Ed a Cross Country Rider from Middletown CT United States
Date Reviewed: October 1, 2007
Favorite Trail:Tyler Mill
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:Pedal Power - the best shop on earth
Strengths:Excelllent grip. Low rolling resistance.
Weaknesses:They wear kind of quickly and the sidewall is thin.
Similar Products Used:Hutchinson Spider/ Python Airlight. Geax Sturdy. Maxxis Swamp Thing.
Bike Setup:Jamis Dakar 2.0 XLT. Manitou 5 inch front and rear suspension. Full Shimano XT.
Bottom Line:These tires are great in just about any condition. They slip on the wet stuff...but what tire doesn't? I've only had 1 flat in 1 year on them. They wear out sooner than I would like but it's not a bad compromise for the great traction and handling.
