Strengths:    silent, traction, pretty durable

Weaknesses:    for me - nothing really but for someone more off road orientated riders those may be too boring

Bottom Line:
very good tires for what i do - short distance commuting, weekends in the parks and hills around. don't think those are for anything more serious, guess is they are terrible in the mud for example.. but again: for me - great. I still prefer a bit my smart sams for deeper tread and generally better performance off road but if you do more cycling in the city and nothing really fast and steep off road - halo would be better IMO.

Halo Twin Rail

Anybody wanna share their experiences with this tire? Particularly the dual-compound version... How is it in the dirt? Wet? Long-lasting? Everything seems great -- weight, tread pattern -- and the price is great for a dual-compound tire. It'd be my rear tire. [url]http://www.halorims.com/HaloNew/ ... Read More »

Halo Twin Rail?

Anyone have Halo Twin Rail on their 29er? I'm trying to find a tire for commuting. I know their are some old threads, but their are few new tires. The weight is close to the Big Apples. I ride SS rigid 90% commuting and a little off road. I could probably go with 2 sets of tires, or maybe SB8's or N ... Read More »
