Date Reviewed: March 3, 2013

Strengths:    Very fast rolling, low price, smooth riding on hard pack, no flats.

Weaknesses:    Hard, too mucho, under 0°C.

Bottom Line:
A south tire.
Perfect in warm and hot weather.
Smooth and easy on the dry tracks, and fast over loose and stone.
Not bad under the rain. No dougnut on muddy conditions.
But slippery in the cold and wet. Not for snow.
And last double than top branded tires.

Strengths:    Very fast rolling on pavement and on hardpack singletrack

Weaknesses:    A little heavy, but since it has little to no rolling resitance you wont notice

Bottom Line:
I found that this tire works pretty good in the front in the 2.1, it hooks up well and is fast rolling. I have a CST Cheyenne in the rear and they work well together. There is almost no Knobbie vibration when its rolling very smooth and its great traction on loose to hardpack corners pretty good. I have not had it in mud yet or over bigger rocks yet but for the price you cant go wrong, Is fast as it rolls it would good for amateur racing. 5 chilis for Value, and 4 Chilis overall.

Date Reviewed: June 10, 2010

Strengths:    fast roller, worked well enuf in the rear in 2.1. Price!

Weaknesses:    encountered a bit of slippage in our loose over hard and sandy conditions around ABQ

Bottom Line:
fair tread for rear. I experimented with a few treads this past coupla years, this was the first I tried by cst on the rear. Found a better rear in the crusader. At $13/tire I figured I could demo every xcountry tire in cst's lineup for same price of one maxxis, schwalbe tire.
