Strengths:    Grip, grip, did i say grip ? Clear very easily, quite fast rolling. Thick sidewalls.

Weaknesses:    Possibly weight if i was to split hairs. That said they are not a fly weight XC tire.

Bottom Line:
I bought the harder compound. Not the black chili, and im amazed. Grips 99% of things. I slid on mossy roots but nothing would grip them. The tyre is great on corners, great on braking, and fire trails and mud they are outstanding. They roll well as well despite looking like they should drag. I weigh 15.5 stone and run 40psi up front and 45at the rear. Don't think i would buy another tire now I've had these ! The walls are thick and i cant see much going through them.

Strengths:    good strong tire, does not wear qiuckly, all around excellent grip...corner, off camber, braking

Weaknesses:    none

Bottom Line:
This is the "Rain King" I think. I have no complaints at all about this tire, have gotten only 2 flats with it in the past year. I ride it in the rear and it hooks up on , well pretty much everything. Braking is realy good also. If U see this tire on sale...buy it I do not think U will be dissapointed. This tire has seen probably 50+ days of rain, mud, wet roots, rocks and has handled it all really well.

Strengths:    After riding initially with this tyre on the front and then on the rear I decided to buy a second one and have it both on the front and rear. For AM/ Trail winter riding this is a great tyre. The Black Chili compound and the tread design provides grip in the wet and dry alike and it is just as good on rocky or muddy terrain. Construction feels tough and I feel confident it can take some beating.

Weaknesses:    If anything, I would like it to be just a bit lighter but to be honest the weight is not too bad.

Bottom Line:
I am very happy with this tyre for a UK winter AM all-round. It is not the lightest nor has the best rolling resistance but if you are not in a hurry to get to the top of the hill, it will provide you with a confident ride to the bottom.
