a Downhiller
from Phoenix, AZDate Reviewed: March 29, 2010
Strengths: Extra strong at hub. Never broke a spoke yet!Weaknesses: Can be hard to lace into some hubs due to large gauge at this end.Bottom Line: I venture to say that these are bombproof spokes. The rims will break before the spokes will. Great for downhilling! Been running these spokes on Chris King hubs for just over 6 years now. I have destroyed rims and axles, but never one of these spokes. Highly recommended! The large rocks in AZ have left their signatures on the spokes, but no failures!
Favorite Trail: SoMo, Mt Eldon, Bootleg Cyn

$1.00

Bike Setup: Was riding an 03 IH SGS Expert w/888 up front for the past 6 years with these spokes. Broke that bike in half twice, now changing wheels to an 04 IH SGS Pro DH

Strengths: 13 G AT THE HUB, EXCELLENT REBOUND, SAVES YOUR HUBWeaknesses: MAY NOT FIT SOME HUB FLANGES, OTHER THAN THAT:NONEBottom Line: EXCELLENT SPOKE FOR TAKING THE BIG HITS, THE 13G AT THE HUB IS PERFECT IF YOUR RUNNING DISCS. THE CENTER (15G) TAKES THE IMPACT, RATHER THAN THE RIM AND HUB. LACED WITH THE SUN MAMMOTH, CAN'T GO WRONG.
Favorite Trail: ALL OF THEM
