Favorite Trail:Wherever I am
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $63.00
Purchased At:Prowheelbuilder.com
Strengths:Light weight. Cool looking and easy to use. Color choice.
Weaknesses:Not sure if I would use them on a mountain bike... Would prefer stainless rod up front. I'm using it on my roadbike, a Spec. Ruby Expert.
Similar Products Used:XT/XTR/Salsa/Easton/WTB/Campy.
Bike Setup:Specialized Ruby Expert, Wheels are Velocity Aeroheads, CX-rays, WI hubs.Dura Ace der/Ultregra shifters/SRAM Rival cranks. 3T Carbon bars, stem. Bontrager RXL saddle.
Bottom Line:I guess if you have a rigid MTB it's ok, but I would still prefer stainless up front. It closes and opens by unscrewing and it's easy to do and fast. So much easier than a traditional QR as I have carpal tunnel and pressing in with my hand is painful. However, I keep thinking that it would be easy for something like a trailside branch to spin them loose. Maybe I'm worrying too much. On the road bike they are awesome and don't cost an arm and a leg considering how light they are. On the MTB I use Salsa stainless.

Date Reviewed: December 20, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $75.00
Strengths:Light, easy to use, looks
Weaknesses:None so far
Similar Products Used:Shimano XT etc, Planet-X stock
Bike Setup:Fixed rigid inbred
Bottom Line:Excellent skewers, really light and easy to use. No need to fiddle with a cam then wind them off until you can get them past the dropouts, it's just one easy move - unwind the lever then twiddle the other end until it fits past the dropout.
Great design and well made - in England!
