Favorite Trail:
John Muir
Duration Product Used:
less than 1 month
Strengths:
cheap, cheap, cheap
look pretty kwel
Weaknesses:
heavy, heavy, heavy
Similar Products Used:
stock shimano
Bottom Line:although these skewers are on the heavy side you cannot argue with the price (got mine for $10.00).
They actually pry weigh the same as stock skewers but look sooo much better!! The large lever is really nice feature too. FYI:the red color is actually a little purplish. Two flaming phallic symbols for the weight but five for the looks...survey says an overall four because of the downright great value.

Bottom Line:

Want to dress up your old bike but not spend a load-o-cash? Try adding some
colored skewers to your hubs and seat collar. Supergo/Bikecology (in Santa
Monica, CA) sells this bargain set...you get a front, rear and seat post QR.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to pass these off as a superlight upgrade
(39g seat, 49g front, 54g rear), but for the price for all three ($20), you
can't beat it. These stainless steel rodded skewers feature 6160 aluminum
nuts and levers (available in Sil, Blk, Blu or Purp). Delrin bushings provide
a smooth closure. All the levers are big and beefy, for lots-o-leverage to
open and close. Why I could use my toes. Although the anodizing was cheap,
these colorful skewers will add a little pep to your ol' bike.
Overall Rating:3
