Strengths:    Inexpensive, able to accommodate many different tires and riding styles. Rim brake compatible. Looks good. Good bead seat.

Weaknesses:    None that I can tell. Maybe riders who have had a bad experience with this product need to have the wheel built, re-built, re-tensioned by a professional wheel builder or mechanic.

Bottom Line:
These have been great rims for my money. Bought them for $19.99 buy one get one free on blueskycycling.com. I was not really planning on using these long term as I was just re-using Shimano M475 hubs with new DT Swiss double butted spokes and new Sapim SILS Polyax nipples. After a few months of riding I can say that these are exceptional rims. The tires seat well and the wheels after having them re-built professionally work out far better than the factory built wheels I was running originally. I am no longer considering an upgrade for the spring/summer. These hold up quite well for XC singletrack riding, fireroad riding, CX type stuff, road riding, backwoods dirt tracking, trekking.

Strengths:    cheap, reasonable weight, builds nicely

Weaknesses:    heavier than premium rims. Not eyeletted. Designed for XC riding so don't jump it off of cliffs!!!

Bottom Line:
I bought one of these super cheap to transfer onto my Frankenstien bike after boinging one of my old Mavics on a rock. This is an entry level rim for sure BUT if it is built right it's just fine. Keep in mind that the strength of a wheel/ rim is 100% dependent on how the wheel is built. The longevity of a wheel is 100% dependent on how it's ridden. Take a poorly built wheel and give it to a beginner rider and kiss the whole thing goodbye. I have been building wheels for 15 years and built this into a strong handbuilt wheel and ride it in fast and technicial type XC riding. It has held up great and is plenty strong. I've had to true it a few times but ALL wheels need truing now and then...it's a fact of life. Learn how to true your own wheels and it won't be such a big deal. This is a great rim for the money!!!

Strengths:    They make my bike roll.

Weaknesses:    They never stay true. I am an average rider and these can't hold my riding for SQUAT!

Bottom Line:
If they came on your bike (like me) use them until they break. Any kind of jump or average sized hump, they will bend and come out of true. They suck.

Strengths:    It is round.

Weaknesses:    The rim is weak. My wife used these and she is a very cautious and mellow rider. She had ONE crash and bent the hell out of these rims

Bottom Line:
weak, don't wreck
