Strengths:    strong and sturdy

Weaknesses:    none so far

Bottom Line:
i do 10 foot drops regularly and this rim has been perfect. i ordered mag 30s thinking i would destroy these but so far ive only needed to trew the back one once after 2 years of heavy drops.

Bottom Line:
waaaaay out of balance. It doesn't need to be perfect, but come on... the bike shouldn't wobble when the wheel spins. I thought I had problems so I started investigating. I spun the wheel in my hand and could tell the balance was off. Then spun it on my bike and my bike was hopping from the imbalance. The wheel is perfectly trued.

Submitted by Hui Chuen Chuang a Downhiller from Penang, Malaysia

Date Reviewed: January 24, 2008

Strengths:    It is just strong and rigid. Wide enough to fit huge tires. It's cheap also. I got then for about 80 bucks a pair including fixing.

Weaknesses:    None so far.

Bottom Line:
I destroyed my old WTB Speed Disc rims in a bad crash but I'm surprised that it is still very rigid after so badly damaged so I decided to go with WTB again. Such a sweet rim.

'07 Dual Duty FR Wheelset - Hubs same as current?

Was there a huge change in the WTB hubs since then that renders mine "obsolete", or did I get a smokin' deal? I bought a set back in '08 because I needed some back-up wheels. Well, I recently put them into service and got curious how I acquired them (yes, I have made a few cycling-related impuls ... Read More »
