Strengths: Review for the PTW.
Indestructible! Had these rims laced up (4 cross) for my XC bike. Front one has only needed trued twice in 4+ years of constant use and abuse. I split the rear one the stupid move of not replacing a brake pad, which sliced through the braking surface. Not an issue anymore with disc brakes. Luckily, I had a spare to build.
I caught a stick in my rear tire and yanked a spoke clear out of the nipple. Five minutes and a few turns with a spoke wrench and I pedalled out the rest of the trail without the wheel coming more out of true. Replaced the spoke and they are still rolling true.Weaknesses: They dont make it anymore.
Deep rim nessecitates an extra long valve.
pinch flats with a vengance. (run high air pressure in your tire)Bottom Line: These rims will last the rest of my riding days, which is probably why they dont make them anymore.

Weaknesses: Pray you never get a flatBottom Line: I love these rims. Both times i had my rear hub destroyed before the rims did. Absolutely great product and the best rims i have ever used.

Strengths: very strong, looks like it has 4 walls not 3, builds into a nice strong wheel due to deep section rim is very light very good looks , can be disc or rim use without you knowing itWeaknesses: maybe rim section is too deep, this means that the spokes are at too much of an angle when the rim is built up the nipples cannot be fully tightened due to the spokes not going in dead strait , this could be due to my large hub flanges thoughBottom Line: quality rim from azonic i reckon front use only though
