Strengths:    Nice looking XC rim. Strength enough. Light enough.

Weaknesses:    Decals felt off after the visit to a car wash.

Bottom Line:
Fits bestly to the colour map of my bike. Had no problem with the ordinary XC tyres..1.95 - 2.1
I've had a problem only once. I've fitted them with 1 inch road tyres(23mm) did not manage to get enough pressure and caught a hole in the road. Hit was very hard.I finished my training and went to the local giant workshop to fix the problem.

Fully satisfied with them, except the decals that are falling off.

Strengths:    Stiff, straight, good looking rim
at great price
better then Mavic717 for me (85kg weight)

Weaknesses:    only Schrader valve in my shop

Bottom Line:
very good choice even for heavy rider
I'm running light X-Country, so there are no strong impacts to rims and the rim is really good, while 717 is "just enough"

PAID SPAM: Alex XD-Lite 650b Wheelset, BRAND NEW!

Hey guys! These wheels came on my Nemesis, but I never used them. The front has never been mounted on the frame! I'm asking $225 for them. They would make a great budget 650b build or a good trail riding wheelset. The weight is around 1850 grams I believe. Let me know if you're interested! ... Read More »

Alex XD-Lite...

Anyone know where to get these rims online? I've already ordered my spokes, but then my rim order was cancelled at the last minute saying the distributor was out of stock... (why list it as in stock if its not in your warehouse...?) Anyway, I've tried several other places and no one seems to ha ... Read More »

I tried to post the links, but post count is not high enough. Please check out the ads in the classifieds section. Wheels are under wheels category, tires are in ... Read More »

Hello All, I'm in process of building up a rr wheel with this rim (using an XT hub) but can't find "ERD and offset" info on the rim to order spokes. Anyone by any chance have it or can direct me to info? Cracked Headtube? Ordered thru your site. Thanks in advance, JeffRead More »

Alex XD-Lite Tubeless?

I'm considering building a second set of wheels as spares to my Stan's ZTR race wheels. I'd like to build another set of Stan's but we know that story so I'm considering the Alex XD-Lite. I know they are a bit heavier than Velocity Blunts but I prefer the narrow width which is closest to the ZTR's. ... Read More »
