Strengths: Considerably strong wheel baring in mind I have seen similar quality rims with double rims turn into instant pringles (S) at the sight of a few misplace rocks. Easy to get new looking (green soft scouring pads) because of their aluminium construction.Weaknesses: Not really strong enough for utra heavy off-road use (jumping etc.) Although I have slammed down steep and uneven inclines and even came off many times but they are stillBottom Line: Good rims that are really easy to maintain, although would recommend using with disc brakes (as per my setup) as oppose to either V or any other form of rim brake as this type of rim is prone to wear if you do choose rim brakes. Hence why on the newer incarnations they add a wear grove to determine rim wear. Something that is missing from the earlier versions such as mine. The newer rims also are mostly black and also have sligtly differing profile to the earlier versions suggesting they've improved the strength, although I doubt. But in doing so they have seriously comprimised the looks and the ability for the user to maintain the rims by painting them. I would personally recommend getting your hands on a pre-2008 pair secondhand in good condition (where they havn't used a rim brake) on eBay as I feel these versions are far better, especialy considering I've had mine over 9 years with no problems whatsoever!
