Strengths: Light and fast. Very very tiny rim, if that is a plus in your book.Weaknesses: Bends if you look at it the wrong way.Bottom Line: Came as the standard rim on my 2011 Kona Blast.
Thought they were okay, was riding them pretty hard. Then, clipped a small tree with my handlebar, not even going very fast. Yanked the handle to the left, and the rim became a taco. I've crashed more than I care to know on my cheap bike with no-name rims and never had this happen.
Not going to replace with another Alex rim up front, but think it is fine for the rear rim. Will probably run a Stan's Crest or Flow up front, and leave the Alex Ace on the rear.
