Strengths: Polished and durable finish, great flange design, grease guard, i stiil think it´s one of the nicest looking and crafted hubs out there.Weaknesses: none, if you own a grease pistolBottom Line: Nearly unbreakable, never experienced problems with broken spokes (even on the rear hub), on the front hub i still drive my 1993 original 6001 ball (cartridge) bearing set. If you can get one, get it!

Strengths: Last over 8 years of hard riding.Weaknesses: None!Bottom Line: I had these hubs for well over 8 years and over 10,000 miles on them. Had to change bearings once but that is it, Never had to adjust them or anything else. Now I bought a Single Speed frame and converted the rear hub, I figure I get another 8 years out of them at least! As some else has stated, I can not understand how Suntour could not compete with shimano!

Strengths: Finish, Easy Adjustability, Maintenance, StrengthWeaknesses: Absolutely noneBottom Line: This is the greatest hubset ever bar none. There is nothing you could improve on the design. I pity people who dont have this miracle of a front hub. If you can get your hands on any of these around do it. In the seven years I have owned this hub I have adjusted it twice and replaced the bearings once. The greaseguard system and cold forged cups and races are superior to all hubs I have ever seen.

Strengths: Grease-guard, finish, longevityWeaknesses: Minimal sealingBottom Line: This hub came as part of the original XC Pro group and with only one change of bearings has lasted through all weather and been raced, toured, commuted for nearly ten years. With the availability of industry standard bearings should last another ten. If you can find one buy it. Great for wet weather or winter use. In fact, great for all round use.

Strengths:
Durable, smooth rolling, easy maintenance with grease guardWeaknesses:
Not stiff enough for use with a shockBottom Line: Very good hub. Makes you wonder why Sun Tour couldn't compete against Shimano when they made such a nice product. If you need a great hub for a rigid front, this is it!
