Strengths: Good quality hub for the priceWeaknesses: Poor design for 15mm applicationBottom Line: Good hub and would recommend for 9mm quick release. However, the 15mm conversion kit is not well designed. The 'caps' have a very short engagement with the hub ID and rely on O rings for retention. They wobble around and are not well retained making wheel removal and installation a hassle.
I haven't lost one yet, but won't be surprised when it happens. It also seems likely that the overall stiffness is compromised by these loose caps, but I don't have perspective from riding other hubs to know whether this concern is valid.
I think for someone who rarely needs to remove the front wheel these would be ok. I need to remove mine to transport my bike, so, for me, I'm going to build another wheel for my 15 QR bike and convert this wheel back to 9mm (the 9mm caps have a long engagement into the hub & don't display the same problem).
Full marks for 9mm app, but not for 15mm.
