Strengths: Strength, looks, reliability.Weaknesses: Not a thing.Bottom Line: I bought this hub mated to a Mavic 217 SUP about 5 years ago. I had destroyed a Spin(POS) and this set up has lasted many miles since. The blue annodized hub is damn near the size of a beer can and will roll with a CKing anytime. Supposedly the rear hub is a POS but the front is great. Don't hesitate if you see one.

Strengths: This is probably the flawless, no complaint component I've ever used--aside from maybe my TREK ZR9000 frame. There's nothing about its function or design I am worthy of claiming fault with even if I could.Weaknesses: Weaknesses? What do you want--a motor?!Bottom Line: I'm not making this up. I bought this hub for $50 two years ago when I brought my wheels in to get an overhaul. The shop guy said the make of hub on my front wheel probobly didn't take Shimano bearings and asked if I'd like to replace it, so I asked him, "whatcha got?" and he shows me this hub of a brand I've never seen before telling me that it's actually very expensive but it's their last one and it's been around the shop a while, so he'd sell it to me for 6000 yen (might have been 5000 yen, I forget), so I said OK.
This hub is fast and stable as liquid mercury flowing over teflon. It's tough, it's light, and how come other manufacturers aren't busying themselves trying to copy the design? This is pretty much what every mountain biker wants on their bike--though if I had to pay $200 for it, I must confess that I never would have tried it.
I guess it is worth the big bucks to get such high quality components after all!

Strengths: light. smooth. stylie. blue.Weaknesses: none.Bottom Line: i've had this [and the rear] hub since around '96.
i just replaced the cartridge hubs in the front today. now it's back to like new.
the rear was a different story. getting a replacement bearing for this was a nightmare. then fitting it was the next nightmare. but it's done [a few months back] and is also like new.
maybe i just look after my gear or am very easy on it, but i have had no problems whatsoever. great value i'm sure you'll agree [5 years and counting...].

I wouldn't Recommend the rear Hub for the price rangeBottom Line: Could not ask for better front Hub. I have a three year old one that is as pure as new. I'm not sure the exact weight on the silenthub, but I think its a little lighter than the ringle or ck. Smoother than XT And ringle, I even like it a little better than the Chris King (something you don't hear too often) I've ridden this hub On A Mavic 231 until the wheel needed to be replaced, and now its on a Matrix Single Track Comp. When my bike is upside down, you can brush the front tire with a feather, and the wheel spins for about Three to four weeks depending on air currents. And the only sound you can ever hear is the tire tred pushing a little air around. But Seriously though:
