Bottom Line:I've had this hub 5 years. It has had no maintainance whatsoever. It still works like it was brand new. (The rear ti-glide is just the same).

Date Reviewed: April 23, 2001
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Noel Craft Cycles, Lincs, UK
Strengths:Very strong! Good looks. No maintenance
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:LX hubs, and crappy stock ones.
Bike Setup:Proflex 957 with XT and a few nice bits.
Bottom Line:My mate crashed my old Proflex XP-8 off a 10ft cliff. The front rim, spokes, and fork just snapped like a twig, and the frame was a bit bent too! The hub survived and I am still using it in a new wheel!

Bike Setup:Alma - custom built alu chassis, Judy SL, XTR, Syncros, back in 1996...
Bottom Line:I used this hub for over 2 years. I never touched it. Never pulled it apart. It did it's job, looked great, stayed smooth as anything. Absolutely faultless. For V-brake users with suspension forks, this is the without doubt in my mind, the finest front hub ever made.

Date Reviewed: July 10, 2000
Favorite Trail:CRACK HEAD BOB
Duration Product Used:6 months
Strengths:SIMPLE
Weaknesses:NONE
Similar Products Used:HOPE ULTRA LIGHT (5 YEARS NO PROBLEM)
Bike Setup:OWL HOLLOW
Bottom Line:LACED UP THIS HUB TO A SUN CR18 WITH MARWI TI SPOKES.
THE WHEEL IS NOTCIABLY STIFFER THAN MY LAST AND IS GREAT ON 100MM TRAVEL FORKS. MAINTENANCE IS CAKE AND THE SEALS ARE GREAT. PREVIOUSLY HAD THE HOPE ULTRLIGHT AND IT IS STILL SMOOTH AS BUTTER AFTER 5 YEARS OF HARD RIDING. THIS COULD BE MY LAST FRONT HUB EVER. MIGHT NOT BE SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT BUT WHATS A FEW GRAMS FOR BEING BOMBPROOF.

Submitted by Rob Valentine a Downhiller from Banbury UK
Date Reviewed: June 8, 2000
Favorite Trail:as long as it's technical and down hill it's cool
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Strengths:light strong lasted for 18 ,months with out a service (although i probably should service it) and it is still going strong. lasts a life time (probably, and hopefully (sorry about the pun)
Weaknesses:pirce £60 sterling in real money, it's alot for a hub, but if it lasts for ever, who cares, no disc mounts
Similar Products Used:specialized crap
Bike Setup:'99 orange airo, marzocchi z3 long travel forks, built on to mavic d521 rims with DT spokes, (donno what gauge)
Bottom Line:this hub rules, the only time i'll replace it is when i will get the equally good hope disc brakes. i liked this hub so much i even went and got a bulb hub on the rear, (havn't got it yet, reveiw when i have ridden it though a british winter), these hubs can suvive a british winter unlike most hubs which are designed and tested in california. (listen hib manufaturers, test your hubs in a british winter, 'cause then you'll have a decent well sealed hub, with california it's dry all the time) it also stiffened up the manitou spyders i had before this hub (which is quite a feat)
