Favorite Trail:Dirt Singletrack
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $140.00
Purchased At:Rbikes.com
Strengths:Build Quality
Weaknesses:Bearings
Similar Products Used:Shimano XT, XTR, Mavic
Bike Setup:Turner Spot
Bottom Line:I like the Hadley hubs a lot. They roll faster and smoother than any other hubs I've owned. The only problem is the bearings Hadley uses seem to be on the soft side. My rear hub bearings failed after 3 months and were replaced under warranty, no questions asked, and have been solid ever since. My front bearings went bad after 3 years, which isn't too bad but I have never had a front hub go out in 20 years of riding. The front bearings are only $20 and a breeze to replace, so not a huge deal.

Weaknesses:some say heavy but when your haulin' a__ some times a little weight where it counts is ok?
Similar Products Used:xt, xrp, king, deore.
Bike Setup:turner flux, float fork, fsr carbon crank, ti bb, avid ultimate disc, weirwolf front tire, panaracer rear(now almost slick rolling surface, kinda fun in turns)
Bottom Line:Get these hubs, do not buy kings not worth extra hard earned $. hadley has done the research. no maintainence, smooth at butter, quieter than kings. now with variety of colors.

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Mountaineer Cycles
Strengths:Better / cheaper / lighter than Chris Kings, 9mm through axle front (sweeeeet!!!!!!!!)
Weaknesses:Hummmm??? No web site. Must be spending too much time building quality products.
Similar Products Used:Hope, White Industries, WTB, XT, XTR, Chris King
Bike Setup:Intense 5.5 Swinger 4way, 05TalasRLC, Thomson, XT / XTR groupo,King headset, Intense saddle, ATAC Z pedals, Hadley 9mm through axle front 10mm though axle rear (sweeeeeet), Mavic UST rims, tire choice varies with soil conditions.
Bottom Line:I have an obsession / sickness with mountain bikes. Light FR, SS, trail, CC you name it. I have been riding m-bikes since the late 80’s (yea I am old) and the only road riding I do is in the parking lot at the trail head or on my street making adjustments. No disrespect but I would rather take my chances with the mountain lions vs DUI drivers.

These are currently the best hubs on the market. Light, strong hand made, reasonable cost and now come in various colors (if you are into that). The new ratcheting mechanism has near instant engagement. Easy to adjust (not like the Chris King disks with the HD axle (Nightmare and always come loose!)

Favorite Trail:any trail
Duration Product Used:More than 3 years
Price Paid: $139.00
Purchased At:Sun BIke Shop
Strengths:This is a product update. The Hadley front disc hub is a great hub that I have used for years. The sealed cartidge bearings are top qualtiy and still super smooth with no servicing.
Weaknesses:None
Similar Products Used:Most hubs including Kings, Shimano, and DT's.
Bike Setup:2003 Access XCL 18" frame with Avid mechanicals.
Bottom Line:In my opinion, the best hubs you will ever find at any cost. Built to last and take any abuse you can throw at them. I have three sets of Hadley disc hubs and that's all I will use.
