Strengths:
Nice pinky red. Sealed bearings. Roll smoothly but....
Weaknesses:
When clamped in the frame the wheels stopped turning!! Bearings not seated dep enough and took hours of filing and scraping to get them to work, but since have been great. Freehub snapped in under one month but OK since. Perhaps just a Friday pair?

Bike Setup:
Laced 36 hole with DDG rims
Bottom Line:
Well despite the problems above the wheels have taken a year of heavy labour admirably. I like them now. I've rated them pretending the problems never happened as probably just one offs having no problem for 11 months

Strengths:
Nice lookers, roll smooth
Weaknesses:
If you can put up with people asking who DDG are, heavy skewers
Bike Setup:
36 hole laced to Mavic X317 rims with d/b s/s spokes
Bottom Line:
I have been using these hubs now for almost a year and they are still rolling as smoothly as when I got them, even though I've never serviced them. Mine are in XTR grey, which is some hardwearing finish so they still look good, too. Because of the large flanges, you can build a pretty stiff wheel and they're pretty light, too. An excellent choice for XC trail riders and a good choice if you want to keep you machine lightweight, though racers can find lighter. good value for money because a lot of more expensive products are re-labelled DDG stuff.
