When you ride a wheel built around the Chris King Classic Low Flange Rear Hub, you'll become intimately familiar with the famed 'killer bee' sound the hub's RingDrive makes. The 72 points of engagement mean that the Classic engages three times faster than a standard 24-tooth pawl engagement system. What does this mean to the rider? Faster engagement gets you restarted faster on a hill, helps you follow the break off the front, or gets you back to the field after an emergency wheel pit.RingDrive can handle over 800 foot-pounds of torque, so hammer awayCompatible with 7-, 8-, 9-, and 10-speed drivetrainsAvailable in a variety of hole drillings to help you customize your wheelset
Had the stainless body version for bout 8 years now. Recently rebuilt my rim to a Shimano STX-RC hub cause I got sick of the f*n drag. My brother used to roll away from me with his STX hubs. Expensive chris king was a noisy boat anchor by comparison. I am no longer prepared to accept the high drag for the quick engagement. Love my new STX-RC back wheel.
Just get a shimano (STX or better) hubset. Theyre bullet-proof.
