Strengths:Good, solid 20mm hub. Smooth bearings, cool cooling fin design.
Weaknesses:The hub comes with two large spacers that fit between the hub, and the inner fork leg. The spacers wouldn't fit my Rock Shox pike SL fork well, and always had a side to side knocking sound because they are tapered too large. I then rebuilt a front wheel as a backup, and also found it doesnt fit my new Fox Talas 36 rc2. I machined off a bit of the non-disc side spacer, as that seems to be the problem one, and all is well. But the thing it, it's just a poor design that only fits some 20mm forks, and other it requires some fudging of the design.

Also, the bearings themselves were never properly pressed into the hub shell, and causes them to fall out when you remove the fork. No big deal, but Bombshell's tolerances for manufacuring the hub are a bit off.

The whole spacer thing makes taking off the wheel and putting it back on a hassle. You have to fit the disc side spacer in between the rotor, balance the other spacer against the hub, and quickly slide the 20mm axle in place, hoping you haven't bent your rotor between the pads much by trying to get everything straight.

Bike Setup:Tried it on my Spooky Pitboss with a Fox Talas 36 rc2, and my Spooky Metalhead with a Rock Shox Pike SL. Seems to work a bit better with the pike.
Bottom Line:It's a great hub if you don't mind having to remove material from one of the spacers, and don't need to take off your front wheel often. It rolls great, but that's all it really has to do. Try and get another hub if you can, 20mm front hubs are a lot more common and cheap since I bought this one.

Strengths:I just purchased this Bombshell Motofin front 20mm hub ...and have not built the wheel yet, however I wanted to comment on the looks and constuction on the hub at this time. The hub has massive flanges that should survive nuclear holocausts! The finish of the hub is excellent.....and is visually a very striking looking design. I'm having a shop build the wheel with this Motofin hub tomorrow.....and should be riding on it by this weekend. I will come back here again and comment on the way the hub rides.... and then the long term durability several months from now. At this point, I'm extremely impressed with the physical appearance of the hub.... and the quality of workmanship.
Weaknesses:Can't see any as of yet.

Bike Setup:2001 EPX Terrashark......with Bombshell Wicked Wendy suspension fork. Fox RC lockout rear shock.
Bottom Line:This hub is an awesome looking piece of sculpted aluminum.....I'll report back later on it's performance. From the looks of it... I would imagine that it would be hard to do any kind of damage to it... not matter how hard you tried. The Motofin hub is so beefy, that you'd have to be a circus gorilla in order to damage it!
