Strengths:    Light weight

Weaknesses:    Slow engagement

Bottom Line:
My set of Wide Lightning came with this rear hub. I must say from day one I felt disappointed with the performance of this hub. So much so I put my old set of wheels back on to see what the engagement of the Shimano FH-M525 felt like again. I feel like the Shimano definitely edges out the 225. For what the AM Wide Lightnings cost I expected a much better engagement than I got. I have no complaints about the rims or front hub. Had I been able to test ride these I would have purchased something else. Leaving this review while here researching what hub IS going to replace the Disk 225 before the Wide Lightnings go back on my bike.

However, after I laced them up the spokes are still way too long. ... Read More »
