Strengths:
Fattest tire my old touring bike will allow up front, nice cx tire for cushier ride and good traction on hardpack/street without too much rolling resistance.
Weaknesses:
Loses traction suddenly No good for gravel, too many small knobs. Sudden transition in leans from tread to corner.
Bike Setup:
Nearly broken old touring bike finding new life off-road
Bottom Line:
I put it on to go singletracking, and left it on ever since. Cushy ride for my road bike, slows me down a little and I enjoy it! Front wheel skids off road aren't as uncommon as I'd like, and the traction goes out from under you all at once. Great for smooth trails, no fun in gravel.

Strengths:
For hardpack/dry conditions this tire is pretty darn fast. It handles sand pretty decent too, but not as well as a bigger volume tire. Great as a low volume, low rolling resistance, dry hardpack conditions race tire.
Weaknesses:
Decent in wet conditions, but not good for sloppy mud. Being low volume it doesn't handle sand as well as the bigger tires.

* Niner SIR9 f/f * Salsa Delgado Cross rims, Hope XC hubs, DT Comp spokes, 36x * Thomson post & stem * Airborne Ti bar, Odi Rogue grips, Cane Creek ergo barends * SRAM shifters & derailers * RaceFace crankset, PW BB, Wipperman chain, SRAM cogs * Avid BB7 calipers & SD7 levers
Bottom Line:
This is a great tire for hard terrain and dry conditions and anytime you want to run your tires with higher pressures like on road rides, bike paths, urban rides, smooth trails, and the like.
Kind of mixed for softer conditions; not too bad in short stretches of sand, but nowhere near as good as bigger tires, and not good in sloppy mud.
Works well at lower pressures too, but you might want to watch out for pinch flats since it's a low volume tire.
Definitely a dry/hard conditions tire.
