Strengths: - Good grip in damp conditions
- Decent "grab" in soft ground
- DurableWeaknesses: - Tire profile is too square
- To squirmy in hard pack corners (because of square profile)
- HEAVYBottom Line: The main reason I got these tires was because I was heading out to Whistler for some AM riding and I needed something more aggressive than my Maxxis Maxxlite / Aspen combo. The soft, damp ground in Whistler suited the Mountain King's aggressive tread pattern, and the 2.2" (more like 2") casing was narrow enough to cut through the mud. The downside is that the profile is extremely square. When you corner at speed on hard pack they feel very squirmy and didn't inspire confidence at all. They are also way to heavy to be viable as all round tires. At almost 800g a tire they were more than twice the weight of my Maxxis (340g). I'll try some Schwalbe Nobby Nic's next!
