Taller and larger knobs

Twenty Nine inch wheels are a larger alternative to the traditional 26" mountain bike wheel. They roll over obstacles and maintain traction better then smaller wheels.

Strengths:
Good all around tire. Good tread pattern. Great as a front tire.
Weaknesses:
None if used properly.

Bottom Line:
Great tire up front. I've used it carefully out back but at 190# I've had to baby it a bit. Folks complain that it's sidewalls are thin - well, its a full knobbie with a relatively low weight. You can't get something for nothing. For an all-round set up I've found the DryX (XdX) out back and the ACX up front to be super.
Bonti's TLR rim-tire set up is foolproof on installation and bombproof in function. Their Mustang TLR rim is great. Latterally stiff and holds true very well.
Like a King rear hub, it's a component (Bonti rim-tire setup) I no longer have to think about.

Strengths:
grip, grip, and more grip. I tried Racing Ralph's thought they were great in turns. These run with sealent at 20 psi are even better. I let let it fly. Way too much fun.
Weaknesses:
Just put them on, I thought they were way too soft to hold up, but we will see. Make sure the psi is low enough, to much, like all others too bouncy

Bike Setup:
Sub 25lbs steel hardtail 29er, and loving every ride
Bottom Line:
Great tire on the dirt at low psi. If you don't stop to put more air in tires for the ride home on the road it feels like you are riding in a sand pit 6 inches deep. I question the durability of the tires, but that remains to be seen. If they hold up well, I will keep them around. Ardents are the next one to try. But so far these grip way too well to take off for now.

5 km to go in a mostly fireroad MTB race (yup, that's called MTB racing in Korea). White spooge started flinging everywhere at 60 KPH. Sidewall sliced like cheese. Never will buy this tire again.

Weaknesses:
thin casing, price $44 each
Bike Setup:
Stock 2008 Paragon
Bottom Line:
Great grip as a rear tire, front tire little loose during cornering. Would not use over sharp rocks they will slice or puncture. But for dirt trails the are great. They also work great with stans tubeless setup.
