Strengths:    Great looking shock, nice alloy knobs with detents to keep track of where your adjustment is.

Weaknesses:    Uses larger ID springs than other mfg, so spring selection is limited. Mine blew within 10mi of trail.

    Bottom Line:
The shock felt great. I wish I hadn't gotten a dud off ebay. The main seal was weeping oil. X-fusion had since swapped to a different seal, so this is an old issue that I got buying an old stock item. To X-fusion's credit they did offer me a new Vector HLR at a low price.

The DH2 was a nice feeling shock though. Both compression and rebound adjustment dials had solid detents. Even with gloves on you can feel the click. The adjustment range is awesome, full molasses to full open. Even when constricted for better pedaling the shock does DH very well.

Bunk seal aside I think this shock is a solid option for a trail or dh rig. Value rating is high because you can snag these for dirt cheap used or off ebay. High overall because it performed right there with the $400-700 shocks that I have ridden.

Strengths:    Real rebound dampening not just a screw to make you think your adjusting something! Light weight and everything you would expect for the $. Handles like my 05 RM 250 after I got my suspension done by RG3.

Weaknesses:    I ordered a heavy spring for my weight it did not need sag on the ty spring for my weight it is perfect with the adjuster set just tight enough to hold the spring but it made me nervous so I called Sam at the # on the manual and I was set in under 10 minutes.

    Bottom Line:
This shock is what you would expect for the $ on compression but this shock really shines with rebound and rebound dampening! When you hit the studder bumps and know your bike will hold the line, at speed, for the big drop at the end its better than anything else I have ridden on in the market.
