Strengths: steady, sturdy, set-and-forgetWeaknesses: limited tuningBottom Line: I'm a clyde, so air shocks are something I don't have a lot of faith in; after two of them going south on me, I'm not likely to buy a 3rd. I got this coil shock because I knew I wouldn't blow it out.
The spring is a little stiff, but that's a soon-to-be-fixed small issue. The fact that it's rock-solid dependable is what does it for me! 10 months now, and no trouble at all! The stiffer spring resulted in no-bob performance.
Now they seem to be harder to find; if you CAN find one, it'll treat you right. One damping adjustment (compression) is a bit limited, but it's effective.
