Strengths:    The low speed compression adjuster wich eliminates bobong while pedaling and the superior ball-and-socket mounts that take sideways forces not only up and down ones.

Weaknesses:    It has 3 knobs and it's not easy to set if you are a beginer.

Bottom Line:
It's a good rearshock , I like it!

Strengths:    Very nice platform, very high max pressure (20bar), adjustment in low speed, high speed, rebound and air pressure, ballbearing eyes ... great terrain response (with my setting i always feel whats below me while gliding like butter down the trail of roots and rocks :D) ... was a great idea to switch from an low price DNM to this magura beauty

Weaknesses:    MRP($) a bit high, no (remote)lockout/gate ... but if you adjust the hugin right you wont need that :D

Bottom Line:
the hugin is just damn fuc**** great :D Wouldn't swap this one anymore ... tried it also in an 4-point fully and it operated as nicely as in my bike!

Strengths:    Ease of maintenance. Good platform, good level of adjustments.

Weaknesses:    Very stiff when new. Hard to set for sag.

Bottom Line:
Worth an investment for a used one, but not sure if I'd want to pay the full retail. Magura has great customer service and I recommend them as a company.

Anthem X / Magura Hugin Ride Report/Specs/Pictures

Finally got around to making the lower bushing needed to fit a $100 NOS Magura Hugin (bought from the importer) to my Anthem X. Bushing was designed to adapt the Hugin's lower mount (once spherical bearing removed) so that it is now size like a Fox/Rock Shox eyelet (12.5mm wide, 15mm ID). [URL=" ... Read More »

Magura Hugin

Just picked up one of these to try on my Anthem X. Does anyone have a service or rebuild manual for these? Nothing on the magura website of any use. Its brand new (although probably better described as NOS because I don't think they've made them for several years) direct from the importer, so b ... Read More »

Magura Hugin comments or observations?

Anyone out there run the Magura Hugin for a rear shock? Currently waiting on my first FS frame to arrive for winter buildup, and I am currently running the Magura front shocks which I absolutely love, so I wanted to ask if anyone out there had any experience with the Magura Hugin rear shock compare ...
