Submitted by Lelick a Cross Country Rider from Russia
Date Reviewed: October 29, 2007
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Extralite website with F1 frame
Strengths:Well tuned platform, preload is ajustable by spring rate.
I have never bottomed shock under load. Can be repaired at factory
Weaknesses:Did not have issues even at hard ways. Rider's weight is given on factory. Can be repaired at factory
Similar Products Used:Fox RP23
Bike Setup:Most Extralite components, XTR, X0, another top end
Bottom Line:The Extralite F1 frameset copyes an old Specialized and has 3" rear suspension. Thank to the SP shock the bobing is zero and I feel a plush ride the same time. Spring tunes a ride by rotation on shock's body.
The one bad side is a high pressure inside this shock. Usual shock pumps are useless practically.
