Strengths: noneWeaknesses: very poor qualityBottom Line: i've bought this shock from a friend who is selling bike parts. after 10 km flat street with a few stairjumps the shock
gets hard as rock. i sent it back to the wholesaler and he returned the x-fusion vector pva with the comment that they stopped making deals with dnm because of the "quality problems".

Strengths: Good adjustmentWeaknesses: short life:-)Bottom Line: My review may be short, but also life of my rare shock was short. Is dead after 5 light and short downhill, 1 enduro trip and some drops about 1 meter. I rode it only 3 days. Oil is flowing from it and my bike is like swing. (But first two days it works grate:-))

Strengths: Good adjustment function, good looks and lite for its kind.Weaknesses: Adjusting knobs are hard to move, somewhat like it's stock, you will use extra power.Being a DNM only ( this sucks )Bottom Line: This is a good rail rear shocks that can be used also on mild downhills. It's more versatile, strong yet economical than other branded rear coil shocks. A nice good buy that will get your money's worth.

Strengths: this product is build for high impact drop. DNM rear shock have a lock-out mechanism to harden and soften the effect.Weaknesses: some how, when i harden the shock. it will effect automatically. but when i shift back to soft mode, it need some to soften the shock.Bottom Line: first grade will be FOX, second will be DMN. Is a worthy bike investment.

Strengths: Sweet shock. I used to have a DNM AO-22 Air Shock, and that POS decided to die for me in no time on a free ride. So under warranty i got the ST8-RC and i love it. It loves the fast tracks and the technical tracks. Easly adjustable preloader and reboud makes track riding heaps better. Once I got the right spring weight, cornering and dropping are sweet as.Weaknesses: Haven't really found anything yet. Don't think i will either.Bottom Line: This shock is a good effective shock. Its response rate is fantasic when set right. Will make a complete judgement after I put some Darado's on to finish the bike off. But to this point, LOVE THE SHOCK, IT GOES HARD!!!!

Strengths: The shock seems strong and is handling alot of abuse with ease.Weaknesses: The spring which with the shock was only a 450lbs which was way too weak for my weight (80 kg) I changed the spring for a 550lbs and it totally wicked now.Bottom Line: This shock came stock on my bike and has performed excellently, and is evan beter now I have put the correct spring in.
If your after a good value Shock then this would be a great choice as long as you get the correct spring.

Bottom Line: i've upgraded my rear shock after i've ruined the RST shock. the rebound damping works very good, the adjustment was very easy in my case. the dnm works very sensitive under every trail conditions and gives me enough reserves on some bigger jumps and drops. (but that depends on the right spring for your weight)
i have to mention, that in my case it's the dnm ST8AR - same as the ST8RC, but without adjustable compression damping - you do not need such a thing on a freeride bike. it is a very good rear shock for the money!

Strengths: reasonable price, cheapest of its type (I think)Weaknesses: - difficult damping adjustment
- seals burst within a year of not-to-harsh riding
- piston cylinder burst open after 1.5 years
Bottom Line: The damping is very difficult to adjust.. it's either on fully or there's none at all. I'm also dissappointed at the quality of the seals; I only rode it one year, and not frequently at that, before the seals burst. Now, after a year and a half of riding the piston cyclinder split down the side.
I ran a Fox Alps 5 (AIR SHOCK!!) on my old Kona U'hu for longer and under harsher conditions with no problems, so this shock has really let me down...
