Date Reviewed: August 30, 2009
Favorite Trail:Markham Park, Quiet Waters
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Purchased At:Bicycle Experience
Strengths:Very plush, lock out easy to get to and works very well.
Weaknesses:Slight hissing sound on upstroke. little over 4lbs if you area weight weenie
Similar Products Used:Fox F29
Bike Setup:09 Gary Fisher Cobia
Bottom Line:When I first got the bike I saw a killer deal ona used G2 Fox F29 from a Superfly. I had it and used it a good bit. Great fork. We I remembered I had the Trek 5 yr warranty on my entire bike including the fork. I needed the $ so I sold the Fox and put the original back on. Once sagged it rode great. Every bit as plush and smooth as the Fox was. It just make an annoying hiss on the upstroke. I was worried I would be mad at taking off the Fox but honestly, its rides just as nice.

I am judging the value by the retail price as compared to my Fox F29 and the performance between them

Date Reviewed: July 31, 2009
Favorite Trail:Markham Park
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $265.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:Very plush... Easy to maintain with the single air valve... Holds up well to my 6 foot / 225 lb abuse... Lock-out works well as does the rebound/compression...
Weaknesses:Wish it has aluminum steerer and stanchions.... Tad heavy for the $$$....
Similar Products Used:Assorted sussy forks over the years....
Bike Setup:Previously rode it on my Redline Mono-9, and currently is a 2009 Voodoo Canzo
Bottom Line:I would recommend this fork to anyone that wants a no-nonsense fork that it easy to use/maintain, but does not mind a bit of weight... I think it weighed in about 4.5 lbs.... I would buy again at the same price, but not at the retail price...

Submitted by mtnbiker72 a Weekend Warrior from Rainier, OR
Date Reviewed: January 21, 2009
Favorite Trail:Stella Ridge
Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At:Came with bike
Strengths:Excellent damping, very laterally stiff for a QR fork, Air spring is very plush
Weaknesses:Weight, for the price it should have an alloy steer tube
Similar Products Used:Many 26er forks including 2005 Fox Vanilla R, 2005 Manitou Sherman Flick +, 2003 Manitou Black Elite, 2002 Fox Vanilla RLC
Bike Setup:Windsor Cliff 29er Pro with upgrades
Bottom Line:This is for a 2008 Tora 318 Solo Air 29er

This fork is every bit the equal of a Fox Vanilla as far as plush suspension and stellar damping. The motion control damper is strait from the more expensive Reba and works excellent. The solo air spring is infinitely adjustable and holds air great. My only complaint is the weight...I like the Cro-Mo stanchions but would like to see an alloy steer tube at this price point.
