Strengths:    Plush, light, stiff with Q15, great remote lockout!, and looks mean in all black.

Weaknesses:    Lame owners manual!!! Just set the sag a bit softer than recommended on fork leg and becomes very plush.

Bottom Line:
This is a great fork, it weighs 3.5 lbs with remote lockout and tapered steerer cut to 8' . Very light for 29er fork and beats up on the Fox fork - lighter, cheaper, and has a real lock out instead of stupid climb mode that fox has. Better fork for less $$$

I'll be racing endurance XC and a few stage races like Pisgah and either Swiss Epic or BC Bike Race (or poss ... Read More »

I'm putting a new bike together (Niner Jet 9 RDO), and the last piece I have to figure out is the fork. I've been a Fox guy for the last 10 years, but have heard lots of good stuff about the newer generations of Rockshox, and I haven't been overly impressed with the latest generation of Fox, especi ... Can I swap out the lowers and internals of the Reba XX with an SID World Cup Dual Air, with Keronite coating lower legs with it? Nobody seems to know and obviously SRAM wants you to go thro ... I have a 2012 Trek Superfly AL Elite I am considering upgrading to a 2012 Rock Shox Sid XX tapered G2 fork with a 15mm axle from the stock Fox Float 29 RL 9mm QR. I know I will have to do some conversion to the Pro 2 Evo Hope Hubs. Any experience with this? Weight savings? Is there an ad ... Read More »

2013 Fox Float 29 CTD or 2013 Rockshox SID XX

I had the RS on my Felt but about to pull trigger on another shock for new Soma Juice and need opinions. I've heard the Fox is harder to maintain but that Kashima coating looks so good. I definitely want remote lockout. Opinions? [url= ... Read More »
