Bottom Line:
This fork matches any Niner hardtail wery well, specially the steel ones. It will make your bike feel like one solid unit! It flex nicely when braking, which adds a sense of control and softness, whitohut the spaghetti-feeling. It wont take long before you will ride with confidence with this fork. The seering is wery precise, which makes riding and selecting a proper line more active. The weight is reasonable for a steel fork, and i wouldn't switch it for carbon.

Bottom Line:
NinerBikes make this fork mainly for their frames, but it is also available to anyone wanting to ride a rigid front end on their bike.
The finish is very good, and the overall look of the fork is great.
The weight is ok for a Reynolds steel fork, and is comparable to other steel forks on the market.
The feel is pretty good, the fork legs flex under input from the trail and under braking, the steel having a nice'spring' to it.
This fork works very well with the Reynolds steel framed SIR 9. They compliment each other nicely, the 'spring' of the frame and fork match exactly, giving the rider a very sweet and 'softish' rigid ride.
This fork doesn't absorb quite as much trail chatter as a carbon fork, but it is much stronger and far less likely to sustain damage from crashes. In other words, it can take a beating ... and still work.
My only gripe is the height of this fork. I would have preferred to see it in a shorter length, but that's just me...i'm "vertically challenged".. :)
Apart from that, there isn't much wrong with this fork. It's tough, well made, and it's Reynolds steel, which is very good steel.
Fit and finish is right up there, and the 'feel' is nice and solid.
The bottom line?
A well-made and presented fork in Reynolds steel. Colour-matches the Niner Bikes frame. Good 'feel' on trail. Nice 'spring' to it.

Bottom Line:
Nice bombproof fork at a low price. Well designed and looks good. ~1050g is average for cromo. It is compliant for what it is, and more than you'd expect. If I were super worried about carbon as a fork material, I'd buy this for my Niner.
