Strengths:    Performance, Adjustability, Looks, Plushness

Weaknesses:    Travel Adjustability, and Lock Out

Bottom Line:
It's always a debate whether to buy one of the two major brands, Fox or RockSox. I've ridden both of them extensively and would have to say that RockShox nailed it on this fork. It's no question why this is one of the top race forks out there. The adjustably and performance of the fork is second to none. The fork is plenty stiff and looks bada$$ with the black stanchions.
My only two gripes, which are subjective of course, is the the lock out is truly not a lock out. The fork will still give about 15mm-20mm when standing up and pedaling hard. Also, if you want to adjust the travel, you have to buy a new air shaft instead of just adding a spacer. Not that big of a deal, but something to think about.
I have a 2014 SID XX for the lock out feature and it performs just as good. If you have debating between the two...get the SID XX if you want lock out and remote. Get the RCT3 if you want to set it and forget it.

2014 Rock Shox SID RCT3 Solo Air tuning?

Ok, so I've searched this to exhaustion. I have a 2014 SID RCT3 Solo Air. I'm clear on setting air pressure and have found that I like it around 95-97 lbs for my 155 weight. Typical of what I've read, where folks like it on the lower end or below manufactures suggested. I've also played around ... Read More »

Rock Shox SID RCT3 Solo air compared to Revelation

Hi all I'm the market for a new fork. If we consider the above, be that in 26er or 29er. I'm asking this since I will be fitting this on a 650b and atm on the Revelation is available, so wonder should I consider waiting for the SID. GRead More »
