Strengths:    BEEFY, 180mm of stiction free (coil anyway) travel. I love the single crown design for greater turning ability. Confidence inspiring. Easy service with the lower leg assembly oil ports.

Weaknesses:    HEAVY, no front brake cable guide which on a fork at over a $1000 is simply unacceptable.

Bottom Line:   
All in all I'm very happy with the Totem. I ride DH & Freeride & This fork has saved me more times than I can recall. Head & Tails above the Fox 36.

Lyrik RC2 DH coil for Jumps & drops? Or stick with Totem?

Has anyone used a Lyrik RC2 DH 170mm coil for big jumps and drops. I'm currenly using a Totem coil tapered (mission control) which isn't very plush on DH but is sturdy and really dependable when landing jumps and drops (rider 80kg with firm spring). Keep my 09 Totem coil or get Lyrik DH coil? (or Van 36 RC2)
