Master the mountain using the Fox 32 Talas29 120 CTD-ADJ FIT 15QR 1.5T disc fork. The innovative CTD dial provides three distinct travel settings: Climb, Trail, and Descend making it easier than ever to dial in your fork for your current terrain. The Climb mode is obviously the firmest setting, offering the greatest pedaling efficiency. The Trail mode offers moderate low-speed compression setting is activated for an optimal blend of pedaling efficiency and bike control on variable terrain.
Strengths: Light, stiff, easy to set up and looks great. Q15 is really stiff.
Weaknesses: The fork does not stiffen up enough in climb mode and sags and bobs like crazy while climbing out of saddle. The old style lockout was much better, may have this thing modified at Push to get what I want. Need needle nose plyers to get to air cap - really!!!
Bottom Line:
This is for the 2013 Talas Q15, 95-120 MM F29 fork as there is no listing for Talas. It is a good fork but again with no real lockout its hard to say its better than previous offerings.
Bike Setup: 2013 Santa Cruz Tallboy, Fox Talas 120 fork, XTR drivetrain, Hope hubs, Stans ZTR rims, XT disc brakes. Tallboy is the best 29r I have ever ridden.
