Strengths: Plush!Weaknesses: Remote LockoutBottom Line: I would have given this fork 5 chili's; however, I just got the 2012 Velvet RL and the instructions on how to install the remote to the fork were lacking and unclear. I paid The Edge Outdoors bike mechanic, Jason, to do the fork and remote installation. He has done plenty of Rock Shox without issue, this was his first X-Fusion and he was both confused and incredibly frustrated by the installation. He made do with what he could, but went through the supplied cable and replaced with a derailleur cable. The remote does not function properly and drags when trying to unlock, after having locked it. While this was frustrating enough already, as of these weekend, I can no longer operate the shock remotely whatsoever. I was very excited to purchase this highly rated shock, but am extremely let down by the remote. I e-mailed them without response. Contacting them has been a headache with no clear guidance, despite all the good I have heard about them...
