Strengths:    Smoother and stiffer than the basic Suntour I had on my 2010 DB Response. More than a pound off the front end transformed my bike! Single air cartridge, travel set to 130mm, is good for my moderate to rough(tree roots) trails and handles my weight of 190lbs pretty good, with little to no fade until the big hits come faster and closer together. Air preload set at 90lbs with 20mm sag and rebound set 4 clicks from full. Moderate singletrack on an aluminium hardtail, converted to x9 SRAM 1x10. This fork can be upgraded!

Weaknesses:    Brake dive. Only single air setting makes it hard to dial out brake dive. Although stiffer than my oem Suntour, 9mm QR axle still allows for noticable flex. Weak wheels compound the problem, in my case. Not a real problem for me, but the 15mm or 20mm thru axle option is best. The TK lacks the dual air and upgraded rebound.

Bottom Line:
Worth the $200 I paid on the popular auction site! Low weight, dependable (1yr plus) and functional. An excellent upgrade that can be upgraded further, with Revelation parts when rebuild time come around.

Sektor TK Options

Hello. First time noob post here. I recently picked up a 2012 Jekyll and love it, but had a question about the fork. Overall I am happy with it, but it seems a bit soft and bottoms out easily. I have searched around, but am not finding much in the way of upgrades or tweaks that will change the perfo ... Read More »

Rock Shox Sektor TK Solo Air, should I upgrade?

How good is this fork? It certainly seems to work OK but my arms still take a hammering on certain surfaces. Cobbles for instance, or rocky surfaces taken at speed, cause me to want to slow down. On more undulating terrain without stutter bumps it is a lot better. The travel is 130mm and I am runni ... Read More »
