Strengths:    Smooth action, easy adjustability, nice remote lockout.

Weaknesses:    None yet

Bottom Line:
This is the shock that came equipped on my 2012 Salsa Mamasita so I cant speak to price. It has very good manners off road and on. The airspring adjustment is easy, just remove the screw cap on the left side. The remote lockout is a great feature, quick to lock when you have to pump out a climb or cruising on a smoother surface. It does travel maybe 10% when locked to remove chatter. Overall it is a really nice piece.

Strengths:    Amazing ride, perfect rebound and uber smooth stroke. Practical and intuitive remote locking system - Easy to set up and even easier to use.

Weaknesses:    Cost, I bought it on reduction for about £280, but it's rrp is quite steep if you're on a budget like I was. Otherwise I can't fault it!

Bottom Line:
Excellent forks, cannot praise them enough. I bought the 100mm version.I came from Dart 2's so my experience might be a bit polarized but I can definently say they are worth every penny and make we yearn to ride all the time. The remote locking is super easy to set up and took me literally five minutes to do. It certainly isn't the hinderence i thought it would be. The forks do need a bit of adjusting and aren't quite fit and forget but even just roughly changing the pressure, rebound etc instantly creates a brilliant ride.

Converting Dual Air Reba RL to Solo Air

While I understand the dual air Rebas are more tunable, I think I would prefer the simpler solo air spring. I currently have a 2012 Reba RL and would like to swap the spring for a 2013 solo air spring assembly. Anyone have any idea if this is even possible?Read More »

Reba RL 29er Dual Air 120mm 9mm drop outs?

...and a straight 1-1/8" steerer. Is there such a thing? I had ordered one from Bluesky, but it turned out to NOT be 120mm. It worked sooooo good at 100mm, though. My searches uncovered pages of speculation as to whether a particular year had adjustability to 120mm of travel. I believe th ... Read More »

Reba RL Dual Air vs. Solo w/ Remote Lockout?

I'm looking at buying a Trek X-Caliber but don't know if I should go with the 2012 or 2013. The 2012 comes with the Reba RL Dual Air. The 2013 comes with the Solo Air w/ handlebar mounted remote lockout. I'm inclined to go with the 2013 because it seems like remote lockout would be a great feature b ... Read More »

RockShox Reba RL 29 Dual Air - Remote Lockout?

Hi everyone, I just pulled the trigger on the Airborne Goblin 29er. I'm very excited about getting a mtn bike (tri guy) and doing some cross country races. I'm interested in getting a remote lockout, something comparable to the Poplock. The bike comes with the RockShox Reba RL 29 Dual Air. Can so ... Read More »
