Strengths: Stiff, Best Damping of any fork, Tracks amazing over the roughest trails always feel in control. No more ripped bladders.Great turning adjustments with every click you can feel a difference.Fox has good setup info.Weaknesses: Thin lowers not for people that crash a lot.Higher maintenance than 888 evo.Bottom Line: The new damper is amazing and with the bladder on the top makes if very reliable compared to the older ones. I have had no problems.Fox gives you all the info on the fork you could want.I only rode 888's till now and I like the fox but with the thin lowers you have to be cautious not so with the 888's but i feel the damping is better for the high speed big hits on the 40's.888 evo are still the better fork once a year maintenance and bombproof. The 40's are for people that want the highest performing fork, know how to take care of it and don't crash a lot.
