Strengths:    Buttery smooth travel that's adjustable. Unlimited settings. Excellent finish and super stiff.

Weaknesses:    need a tool to take the axle off. Myriad of settings can be kind of confusing.

Bottom Line:
I'm blown away by how good this fork is. It is just super smooth. Previous to this I had a Marzocchi 55 and before that a Fox RLC. I liked them both, the Fox was bullet proof, the Zoke buttery smooth but fragile and constantly broken. The X seems to be the best of all worlds, I can't even find a plastic part on it anywhere. Plus I got the 1.5" head tube version with a 20mm through axle so it tracks about as straight as can be. Great fork.

Strengths:    -Top tier fit and finish and controls
-Respectable weight at ~5lbs
-Dampening adjustments make readily noticeable ride changes and make for easy tuning
-Competitively priced
-Fantastic right out of the box

Weaknesses:    -2011 model has no tool less 20mm axle
-2011 model has a higher axle to crown height compared to the competition(ive been told 5mm higher, not much).

Bottom Line:
The Vengeance has absolutely blown me away. The vengeance is super smooth and plush right out of the box, adjustments make a big enough difference to be very effective tuning tools, the fit, finish, and controls are fantastic.

To sum it up, the Vengeance has been a disgusting value, and as far as my experience goes, the least amount of sticktion, the best dampening, and the best overall ride ive ever experienced in a long travel air fork. A++

As far as im concerned, i just purchased the best long travel air fork on the market for the least amount of cash. Really glad i got turned onto the Vengeance.

x-fusion vengeance HLR long term review

it's a 2013 Veng HLR coil lowered to 160mm Good plush since day 1 and nothing is changed after a year with no service taken. I only ride once a week tho. It filters anything from small to big and sticks to the ground with good traction. You can feel the difference especially when you are applyin ... Read More »

Marzocchi 55 CR or X-Fusion Vengeance HLR Coil ??

Hi everyone, I'm ready to pull trigger for a new 150-160mm fork and my choices are either Marzocchi 55 CR or X-Fusion Vengeance HLR Coil. Anyone with riding experience on both forks and recommendations on one vs the other? I know there are many other choices out there, but I am somewhat limited ... Read More »

X-Fusion Vengeance HLR

I'm choosing between an X-Fusion Vengeance HLR air and a RS Pike 650b 160. It'll go on an heavy duty AM bike, 650b front wheeled, 7" rear suspension 26er. I'm leaning toward the Vengeance because of its presumed stiffness advantage and 20mm axle, can someone compare the two? I'm not thinking the ... Read More »

X-Fusion Vengeance HLR: Damper rebuild and maintenance

Ok guys I'm sure it's been covered, but here goes! I can't find anything on their website with regard to volumes and weights, although I did find something on PB that referenced 7.5w x 75mL. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I purchased this fork second hand from a friend who admittedly had it se ... Read More »

Vengeance HLR coil issues

I own a Vengeance HLR coil for 3 months. I love it very much but I have the following problems Damper consistency After few mins of DH, the damping force is lost, you can compress the fork very fast with minimum force. The damper, however, becomes normal again after taking a 10 mins “rest”. Tur ... Read More »
