Strengths:    Very strong, reliable, tapered head-tube option.

Weaknesses:    A bit heavy, no preload or stiffness adjustments, rebound adjust is hard to turn.

Bottom Line:
All in all it's a nice fork. Like all Marzocchi forks, you'd have to try pretty hard to break it and it's super reliable, however, you'd be much better off with the DJ2s, as they're coil/air so you can adjust the stiffness really easily and the rebound adjust is alot easier to get at.

Is there a tutorial anywhere online or alike to overhaul this fork, or a general tutorial for marzocchi forks? The manual doesn't say much about the internal maintenance. It still has the original oil inside from 2003. But I haven't used this fork since 2005. I was thinking of replacing the oil. ... Read More »
