Strengths: I'm pretty happy with this shock. Always been a big Fox fan (still am). For the price this one really performs. Small bumps are non-existant, medium bumps are easily felt, and large bumps are eaten without effort. I am blown away at the stiffness - even with a 9mm quick release there is no flex - the 15mm thru must be perfect. At 210 lbs. I've dangerously flexed some lesser travel forks. Good graphics / colors. Appears solid built. Good price. Really light for 140mm. Doesn't mind 4' drops, but nimble enought for 100 mile endurance racing.Weaknesses: Weaps slightly more than Rockshox and Fox after harsh rides. Not many adjustments on the single shot base models. Don't know if my LBS knows how to rebuild one.Bottom Line: Would buy another. At the time of this posting there was not a 29er version, but hope there will be soon. Surprised at how good it is.
Raced a Scalpel with a tiny DT Swiss rear shock for 4 years and it never leaked air, needed oil, or a rebuild.
