Strengths: Tuning, stiffness, adjustability, plush customer service is top notchWeaknesses: Has an original 2010 early version and they replaced it completely.Bottom Line: This years fork is adjustable and the tuning is loads better. It feels amazing out of the box and the control is great.
This fork is a great move forward for rockshox. I freeride and DH and this suits both worlds really well. Light stiff and so far extremely durable.
The best part of this fork is the customer service rock shox has, its second to none and they are great guys to deal with...

Strengths: very plush, easy to adjust, knobs move easy and acctualy do something unlike some other forks, 20mm thru axel is very user freindly and they look very neat and tidy.Weaknesses: When i first got them i was only getting 7 inches of travel so i had to send them back to get fixed the distributer in australia was great they fixed them no questions asked, i have seen a pair with a hole torn in the side wall of the lowers not mine thow and the little tabs they have on the arch of the lowers for the brake house is rubish maybee because of how we run our brakes here thow i no it is only a little thing but it still bothers me a little bit.Bottom Line: Other than having to send them back to get fixed when i first got them i have not had any prooblems but it is still early days with this fork. I bought them because the bushings in my 40's were starting to go and i road a friends bike with the world cups on them and thought they felt great. The user guide from rock shox is great for a base line thru axel is easy to use. The knobs to adjust every thing do something (ie when you turn them the fork changes how it feals). The bottom out controll on them works unreal i have never used 100% of the travel 95% a few times but never all of it this is good considering i only run 55 psi in them which is not alot, I also love the little rubber o ring they have on the stenshon it is great for tuning the fork, looks great love how you cant tell they are world cups unless you are close, it came with a high quility shock pump and a star fangled nut which i thought was a well thought little extra, bottom line they work well feal great easy to adjust and work well. I would not say they are streks ahead of the 40's but deffently a little better in the feal department but not as stiff so they both have there pros and cons.
